In the field of wind power generation, CECEP has accumulated the installation capacity of 1.5 GW wind power projects commissioning or under construction, in addition to the ownership of the exclusive development right of 10 GW wind resources, and the planned total installation capacity by 2012 is 8 GW. In China's first 10 GW wind power base located in Jiuquan, Gansu, the Project invested by CECEP is the first one having realized grid connection. The Corporation has become China's leading industry group of wind power integrating resources exploration, wind power plant construction, operation & maintenance, and equipment manufacture technologies.

Solar Power Generation

Solar power generation is another important and strategic domain in the field of new energy development in which CECEP has engaged. The CECEP-SUNTECH photovoltaic project at Shizuishan is China's first large-scale and grid-connected desert power plant, the CECEP solar roof project at Hangzhou Energy and Environment Industry Park is China's first large-scale and grid-connected solar roof PV power plant, Besides, the BIPV project in Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Rail Station will be the largest one in Asia, and is going to be connected to grid soon. At present, the total installation capacity of solar energy power generation contracted and under construction by CECEP has reached 1,400MW; it is planned that by 2014, the Corporation shall become one of the world's major investors of solar energy power generation and integrated service operator.
