Nowadays, while the impact of global climate change keeps increasing, developing low-carbon economy and greenhouse gas emission control has become a consensus and responsibility of all mankind. As a developing country, China is not only making important contribution to global economy development, but also upholding energy conservation and environmental protection as a basic national policy, and has proposed and earnestly implemented the national measures to confront the challenges of climate change, what made a solemn commitment on self-reduction of emission.
China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP) is the only state-owned company which is directly sponsored by central government of People’s Republic of China, specialized in energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental protection. CECEP is always dedicated to promoting energy-saving, environmental friendly technologies and industry upgrade, and primarily focus on the following fields: municipal infrastructure for energy conservation and environmental protection; energy saving for industrial use and integrated utilization of key resources; clean technologies and new energy projects. So far, CECEP has 172 wholly owned and holding subsidiaries with over 30 thousand employees, which is the strongest, largest and most competitive industry group in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection in China. I sincerely hope CECEP could work with the good companies from all over the world, to develop the industry of energy conservation and environmental protection together, to achieve the targets of effectively controlling greenhouse gas emission and enforcing the capacity for sustainable development. We shall consider ensuring and maintaining economic development as the core; saving energy and resource, optimizing energy structure and strengthening ecological protection as the priorities and improving techniques as the support, in order to continuously enhance the ability of coping with the massive climate change issues, make earnest contribution to global sustainable development, and create a prosperous future for all of us together.
